This project captured a Spanish Colonial style landscape, which balanced with the architecture of the house. Many of the plants utilized were of low water usage. Masonry planter walls mimic stucco of architecture while porphyry cobble flatwork and fountain tile added contrast of color and an array of textures and colors to the landscape.
Landscape scope included both softscape and hardscape. Plant material reflects Mediterranean style. Brickwork at flat areas and wall caps contrasts white stucco and pool tile color.
Project included both softscape and hardscape elements. Contemporary theme of landscape balanced with modernist architecture. Corten steel planters contrast lighter stucco while relating to woodwork color hues.
