The Bradley Landscape Development Team is a family of passionate and highly experienced professionals, coming from a variety of diverse backgrounds and experiences, all working together with one goal in mind: We strive to exceed the expectations of our clients on each and every project.
Brad Woodford – Company Founder and President
Barbara McCants – Receptionist and Administrative AssistantHi, my name is Barbara and I’m the Receptionist and Administrative Assistant for Bradley Landscape Development. I’ve been with Bradley Landscape since 2007. I’m your first point of contact when calling Bradley Landscape and will be happy to help you in any way I can. My goal is to connect you with the people who can most meet your needs. I’m friendly and outgoing and love to meet new people. As well as answering the phones, I also assist our Office Manager Sonia and the owner Brad Woodford with a variety of special projects.
When not working, I enjoy hiking on the weekends with my husband and friends. There are many wonderful day hikes available to us here in San Diego County. I also participate in a monthly outreach program through my church for the children in our community, am an avid reader, and love to meet my girlfriends for shopping and lunch dates. My husband and I are not quite empty nesters yet, so we also get to enjoy the company of our two grown daughters who are attending college and living at home.
Sonia Rincon – Office ManagerHi, my name is Sonia Rincon. I am the Office Manager / Bookkeeper for Bradley Landscape. I have been with the company since 2000. My duties here at Bradley primarily include accounting, payroll, and human resources. My days are busy, but I enjoy meeting all the challenges my job entails.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my three beautiful children. They keep me very busy and entertained. We enjoy going to the park, eating out on our “Wacky Wenzday” night each week, and family game nights.
Mike Albo – Project ManagerI acquired a summer job at Green Thumb Nursery in San Diego one summer while attending California State University San Marcos. From that point on I became fascinated with landscape design and construction. Pursuing this field seemed inevitable as I decided to acquire a degree in Landscape Architecture and minor in Construction Management from California State Polytechnic State University of San Luis Obispo.
My passion for creating landscapes led me to Bradley Landscape Development in 2009. Some of my responsibilities consist of project management for commercial and residential construction, budgeting, estimating, and scheduling. In my spare time I enjoy playing hockey, surfing, and listening to classic rock.
Rebecca Simpson – Project ManagerHi, I'm Rebecca; I joined the team in 2010. My educational background is a bit eclectic; I studied art and philosophy at Yale; biology and chemistry at Virginia Tech; horticulture, agronomy, and landscape architecture at the University of Maryland; and have additional hands-on experience in landscape management, irrigation, and construction from different schools and employers on both the east and west coasts.
I’ve been in this business for some time, and I see my job as at once artistic, technical, horticultural, and emotional. The goal is to create an outdoor oasis that’s not only beautiful, but also reflects you and your personally. The end result is a place you want to be, a place to be proud of, and feel completely at home. I came to San Diego for the weather but ended up with a gift. I have truly found my place with the team here at Bradley Landscape Development. We are a family whose driving purpose is to create beautiful spaces. I can’t imagine a better way to spend my days.
I think the best way to describe us is as follows:
Aldo Gomez – EstimatorHola! My name is Aldo Gomez and I’m the Estimator for Bradley landscape. Along with my primary estimating duties, I also do project management and a variety of other duties. I have been with Bradley Landscape since 2002. I began in the industry as Brad Woodford’s (Company President) personal assistant. From personal assistant I moved into more industry and production tasks such as purchasing ultimately to estimating. I am proud to say that my knowledge of the industry comes primarily from hands-on experience under the training of Mr. Brad Woodford himself, a priceless gift.
Before becoming part of the Bradley family I grew up right here in the Encinitas, CA area with my family, who has been in the San Diego area for over 35 years. I feel very fortunate to call San Diego County my home, which I share with such great neighbors and customers. They say that the worst day of vacation still beats the best day of work. With the beautiful San Diego weather, maybe that’s why we get that saying so confused. We don’t know if we’re at work or on vacation.
Trinidad Arguimbau – Maintenance Division ManagerI received my Degree in Ornamental Horticulture from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1984. Since then, I have managed nurseries and designed custom gardens across the country. I joined Bradley Landscape Development as Maintenance Division Manager in 2009.
The combination of nursery and design experience allows me to approach Bradley’s Maintenance Department as more than a “mow and blow” operation. Being fully bilingual I am able to communicate between clients and crew members, and avoid the frustration many homeowners and workers experience.
My responsibilities as Maintenance Division Manager are to make the most of the original installation investment by helping the landscape mature healthily. When given the proper care, a garden always looks vibrant and fresh. My goal is for clients to delight in their gardens every season, year after year. As the old saying goes; “The best fertilizer is the footprints of the gardener.” I invite you to experience what we can do for you.
Richard GodoyHi, my name is Richard. I have been working in the landscape industry since 1997. I joined Bradley Landscape Development in July 2010. My duties here are complete irrigation system audits, irrigation troubleshooting, soil testing, fertilization schedule programming, weed and pest control programs, and warehouse and equipment inventory. I also provide materials, chemicals, and irrigation supplies to construction and maintenance departments.
When planning your landscape, water management should become an important aspect of your property. You've got to be sure your irrigation system is fully functional and efficient. Not only to protect your landscape investment but also to conserve water and your budget. As your site matures we can recommend and implement renovations to ensure older systems continue to meet the changing needs of your landscape.
Steve HarbourGreetings! I began working with Bradley Landscape Development in 2001 as a Landscape Designer and Project Manager. My career began over thirty years ago, working part-time at local nurseries while earning English and Business Management degrees at Sonoma State University. Since that time, I have worked in nursery and landscape management, focusing both on developing my own designs and bringing the visions of other top design professionals to fruition. Bradley’s reputation remains unsurpassed, earning the respect of both top landscape professionals and homeowners for excelling at installing landscapes both large and small. I am proud to work at Bradley, personally adding fourteen design awards to our trophy wall during my tenure.
I enjoy the challenge of designing large or small projects and can work with any budget. The first consultation allows us to look at your outdoor space and discuss ideas. I welcome the challenge of working with any type of design theme, whether traditional or contemporary, and always seek to tie the landscape to the home in a seamless transition. The best landscapes are always a result of close rapport between the designer and the client. I do my best to ask the right questions and listen, the end product resulting in my ideas based on the client’s wishes. Black and white plans, color plans, and 3-D plans can be provided based on the scope of the project.
As for down time, I enjoy working in my own one-half acre garden. My property has several hundred species of plants, including a large cactus and succulent garden, a fruit and vegetable garden, and several separately themed garden rooms which include dozens of California natives mixed with many other plant species, It’s eclectic to be sure, but I love working with plants and like to experiment before introducing new or unusual species into other people’s landscapes. I am a Certified Nurseryman (20+ years), active member of the SD Horticultural Society, and member of other local plant groups. I write a regular blog for the National Examiner, considered one of the top 100 news and information sites on the web, as the National Sustainable Landscapes Columnist.
